Abstract
This paper presents a look at the potential use of educational blogs as a tool
for developing astronomy education in the Philippines in this growing digital
age. As a popular online social media tool, blogs provide a wider reach and
accessibility making it an innovative and creative tool that can be used both in
formal and informal education settings. In a growing digital community,
astronomy blogging can be done by educators, professionals, students, amateur
astronomers and astronomy enthusiasts alike. Astronomy blogging can also
foster collaboration and establish linkages between the local and international
scientific community.
