Here is an image of three sunspot groups: AR 1948 (upper left), AR 1946, and huge AR 1944 (center bottom). The image is acquired using a Sky-Watcher SkyLiner 200P with solar glass filter, 2x barlow and Nikon D3100.
AR 1944 has a McIntosh class Fkc. NOAA forecasts put it at 80% chance for M-class flares and 50% for X-class flares. |
