Abstract
There are several ways for a permanent setup for a telescope, but typically the best choice would be to construct a permanent roll-off roof observatory. This would provide security for one's equipment and let it sit assembled without fear of theft, protect it from weather and climactic changes, provide instant observation without the prospect of the mundane task of setting up, and knowing that after observation it would just be a flick of a switch to call it a day.
The proposed observatory may be constructed anywhere in the Philippines. It may be constructed on a yard next to a house or on the roof deck of an existing building. A minimum thrithyfive (35) square meters of buildable area would be most ideal.
This paper will present a typical architectural and structural plan of a roll-off roof personal observatory suitable for construction.
