Book 4 Messier 83 to 110 (2003)
Dr. Jesus Rodrigo F. Torres
Abstract
At long last, the dream of writing an account of the Messier Objects is completed. This dream was hatched many years ago, when I saw my very first Messier Objects, the Orion Nebula, with a 7x35 binoculars. Eventually, I have observed and re-observed all the messier objects but the desire to write down those observations lingered. The signal to start writing came after I have finished volume 5 of the work Urban Astronomy in the Philippines when the future of the research project became uncertain because of archaic academic reasons. Dr. Corazon Osorio, president of the New Era University and Dr. Villamor Quebal, Vice president for administration, asked me if I could propose a research for the said university. Without hesitation I proposed the Messier Objects.
